Mission
Arlington—Tillie Burgin

People are coloring outside the lines of traditional church work to take the gospel one person at a time to the city of Arlington. Followers of Jesus from across denominational boundaries are hard at work gathering people for Bible studies in apartment club houses, mobile homes, and neighborhoods — wherever anyone is interested. Without professional seminary degrees and armed only with the truth of John 3:16, these lay men and women become pastors, and club houses become sanctuaries. Make an impact in your community by volunteering your time.

Arlington Crisis Pregnancy Center
Becky Hyde is the Executive Director of the Arlington Pregnancy Center. The center, which has three locations, is comprised of 12 board members, 15 paid staff, and 48 active volunteer counselors. The APC mission is to encourage women to adopt a lifestyle of life affirming choices, while presenting them with the Gospel and being and advocate for the unborn. They have ministered to over 25,000 women since the center’s inception.  Come and be apart of this life-saving ministry.

Beach Clubs
Lake Arlington Baptist Church has partnered with Kids Beach Club, a not-for-profit organization that
is an exciting ministry dedicated to connecting kids to Christ and His church! This is done through the establishment of after-school, faith-based clubs called Beach Clubs. These Clubs are organized and designed to target our next generation of leaders, children 3rd-6th grade. Clubs meet for one hour for 24 weeks during the school year. Simply stated, KiDs Beach Club® seeks to: Impact Communities for the Kingdom, Share Christ in Public Schools, Foster Life Change in the Hearts of Children, and Connect Families to a Church Family. LABC is currently sponsoring Beach Clubs after school at Corey, Little, Mary Moore, and Wood Elementary Schools. Matamoros Children's Home

Dr. Saul Comacho was born in Mexico.  At the age of 10 he received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.  He came to live at the Children’s Home in Matamoros where he met his wife, Maria.  Since that time, Saul has helped establish a home for over 150 children.  LABC travels to Matamoros multiple times per year for VBS, building projects, and other excursions to assist in other children coming to know Christ.

Baltimore, Maryland
Larry Baker and his wife, Shannon, recently moved to Baltimore to serve as church-planting missionaries for the North American Mission Board.  Larry serves as interim pastor of New Hope Community Church, where they now are beginning their third year of ministry.  God is doing amazing things throughout the growing and spiritually active congregation.

Breaking Free Ministries

They conduct evangelism in various venues such as concerts, school events and other forums designed to attract the general public, particularly the unsaved. This is done by using world-class athletes and entertainers, including superstars from various sports, motorcycles, race cars, tightrope walkers, professional musicians and the like to “draw the crowd.” Christian testimonies demonstrating changed lives are given and trained counselors share the Gospel message face-to-face and follow-up with all who respond.

Uttermost Parts of the Earth Projects

South Asia

There are over 1.6 billion people (1/3 of world population), in South Asia, which includes China. Most of them have never heard the gospel of Jesus before.  In an oppressive government and 3rd world setting, you can have an opportunity to share the gospel for the first time with university students.  In addition to experiencing God at work, you’ll experience a rich culture and history.

Cuba
Cuba is one of many oppressed nations, but one which is closed to the rest of the world. Living there now is an entire generation of people that have never heard the gospel message.  LABC uses sports ministry and prayer walking as primary evangelistic modes of sharing.  Come and invite the gracious people of Cuba to know the Savior.

Malaysia

Malaysia is over 98% Muslim.  Many of us know Malaysia as the home of the first Survivor:  Borneo.  This beautiful country surrounded mostly by water is full of people who walk in a sea of darkness.  By sharing in universities and traveling to uncharted islands by water-taxi, LABC is becoming a drop of color in a sea of darkness.
