Where and how did you accept Christ?
My parents took me to Don Avenue Baptist Church in Denham Springs, LA as I grew up. Mom & Dad were the first couple married at the church. We attended revival services on a Friday night where I went forward to tell my pastor I needed to receive Christ. I was 9 and the only one who made a decision that night. So that helped confirm it was the Holy Spirit speaking to me not someone else.
What do you want to communicate to the folks who are visiting the website?
Churches aren't filled with perfect people. And ours isn't any different. Jesus said He came to love and heal the imperfect people (Matt. 9:10-13), and they flocked to Him by the hundreds. There's a lot of imperfect folks at LABC. If you want to know His love, grow in His love, then come and go with us on this journey to heaven.
What is your dream for your ministry?
Starting Point Ministry...That we as a church learn to love God with all our heart and love people regardless of their financial & social status, race or past (Matt. 22:37-39). When they see we accept them and want to love them, then they want to be part of a place like that and learn how to live in that love and share it. I want people to know we will love them and help them grow in His love and serve each other with that love. No strings attached... just because they love the Lord and each other.
Pastoral Care... when people are hurting due to tragedy, sickness, or death, they can know that their fellow Christians care, that we will do all we can to love them, pray with them and walk with them through this time of trials.
What is your educational background (School & Degree)?
B.A. in Art Education at Southeastern Louisiana University. M.R.E. Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Do you have children and/or grandchildren?
Our youngest son Shea, a student at UTA, our oldest son Orry, our lovely daughter-in-law, Danae and granddaughter, Emma.

What is your favorite childhood memory?
Our "big" vacation through Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Wyoming and Colorado all in one trip at the age of 9. I remember feeling that was the first time I really saw America!
What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done in your life?
Picked up a live 4ft. snake while working as a camp staffer at a Christian camp in south Louisiana. I didn't know what kind it was. Is crazy synonymous with stupid?
