Our Purpose As people who have come to know Jesus as Savior & Lord, we desire to know Him more fully and make Him known to our world. Life is hard. We all have relationships, finances, and struggles that we must face on this journey called life. We, as a body of believers, want to give you the tools to walk joyfully as we journey together. LABC is a church who is Equipping People for Life. We want every member of LABC to first Know God personally. Worship is an example of how we as Christ's followers have a personal encounter with God each week. We also want each person to Grow in their relationship with God. We offer age group Bible studies to help you grow in your understanding of who God is. Finally, Christ wants us to Go into our world in His name, sharing His love. Our Missions ministry offers a wide range of opportunities for you to take action. There is also a multitude of ways to serve within LABC. Please know that this is a process; we view servanthood as an overflow of God’s love for us. First Know God, then Grow in God, and then Go in God.      We Believe 1. The Bible is God’s Word, truth without error.  It was written by men divinely inspired and is God’s revelation of Himself to man. 2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. 2. Jesus, the Son of God, came to earth to live as an example and die as a sacrifice for our sins. John 1:14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.  We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. 3. Man’s salvation is based on the grace of God and is received through faith in Jesus’ death and resurrection. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. 4. Baptism is an act of obedience depicting the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus and what that means for the new life of the believer. Romans 6:4 We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.  5. The church is the body of Christ, made up of Baptized believers in Jesus Christ, gifted and empowered by the Holy Spirit for the work of the ministry of Christ. Acts 2:44 All the believers were together and had everything in common.  Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need.
